Research Areas
Dr. Perkins’ research focuses on wireless and mobile communications, networking, and computing systems, with emphasis on the design of adaptive protocols, performance engineering, spectrum management, and network security. His research work spans multiple networking paradigms, including sensor/actuator networks, wireless broadband networks, multi-hop wireless networks, cognitive radio networks, wireless local area networks, and large-scale heterogeneous wireless systems.
