Harry Chen

Harry left UMBC with his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2004. Now Siri Software Engineer Manager at Apple, he helped launch the iPhone 4S’s most notable feature: Siri.


Kyla McMullen

Kyla graduated in 2005 with a B.S. in Computer Science. In 2012 she became the first African-American women to graduate from the University of Michigan with a Ph.D. in Compuer Science.


Gevorg Grigoryan

Gevorg graduated in 2002 with a double-major in Computer Science and Biochemistry. He is now teaching Computational Biology at Dartmouth.

Donald Miner

Donald graduated in 2010 with his Ph.D. in Computer Science. In December 2012, his book, MapReduce Design Patterns Building Effective Algorithms and Analytics for Hadoop and Other Systems, was published by O’Reilly Media.
