Biography
Prior to joining the faculty at UMBC, Ben Johnson worked at a startup and at IBM Watson. At IBM, Ben contributed to projects including Chef Watson, Watson Personal Assistant, Watson Conversation Service, and the Facebook chat bot for The Weather Company. Ben’s research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Computer Science Education, Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation, and Software Engineering.
