Biography
Yiwen Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Before that, she earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University and received her B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, China.
Her research interests span wireless networking, mobile systems (5G and beyond), cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and vehicle-to-everything (V2X). Her recent work focuses on enhancing the reliability and security of critical network infrastructure from design to practice. Her work has been published in several prestigious conferences and journals, including ACM MobiCom, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, and ACM CODASPY. Her research has received multiple accolades, such as the MobiCom Best Community Paper Runner-Up, GetMobile Research Highlights, SIGMOBILE Research Highlights, and the AT&T Security Award.
