Biography
Dr. Kiani received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2014, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Pennsylvania State University, where he was promoted to Professor. In 2025, he joined the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, as Professor. His research spans multidisciplinary areas including analog, mixed-signal, and power-management integrated circuits; wireless implantable medical devices; neural interfaces; and ultrasound-based medical systems.
