Profile
Russell Turner is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Computer
Science and Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
His research interests include bioinformatics visualization,
object-oriented software design, interactive 2D and 3D graphics, 3D
character animation, and GUI toolkit design. At Celera Genomics he was
technical lead for
development of the Celera Genome Browser, a tool for
visualizing and
annotating the human genome. Currently he works in the Informatics
Research
group at Applied Biosystems.
