How to avoid state hotel tax
Tax-exempt organizations (as are most Universities)
can avoid paying state hotel tax by obtaining
a Sales and Use Tax Exempt Certificate
from the State of Maryland. Only by presenting
a copy of such certificate to the hotel can
the taxes be avoided. To obtain a
certificate, contact:
