David Lachut

Biography
After earning his B.S. and M.S. in physics, David Lachut decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He is currently developing the software behind Mobile, Pervasive and Sensor System Lab’s green-home management smartphone application. His work currently involves measuring the amount of power being used and automating a system to control power expenditure. David enjoys the problem-solving aspect application development, and he enjoys making things work. When asked about his goals for his work, he stated that what he really wants to do is create something that other people find useful. Although David is originally from Kansas, the research opportunities available and beautiful campus brought him to the University of Arkansas.
