Project Description

Procedural techniques for computer graphics has become an emerging area of research in computer graphics. Our recent book, Texturing & Modeling: A Procedural Approach, Second Edition, has set a basic framework for research in this area. Procedural techniques have great advantages in their flexibility, data amplification, and parametric control. The goal of this project is to use expand the current capabilities of procedural techniques to encompass many advanced modeling techniques and explore their use for advanced modeling and animation. This will expand upon my work in procedural gas modeling, animation, and texturing.

Some Procedurally Generated Images

Several of these images, as well as a description of how to create similar images can be found in the book Texturing & Modeling : A Procedural Approach, Second Edition.
