The CSEE Department maintains a number of electronic mailing lists.  These are used to disseminate official announcements as well as to support various research groups.  As a graduate student, it is your responsibility to subscribe to the mailing list that is revelant to your major: CSEE-GRAD-CS, CSEE-GRAD-CE or CSEE-GRAD-EE.  There is also a list CSEE-GRAD, but it is defined as the union of the other lists, but individuals can not subscribe to it.

Notes

  • You can add and remove yourself from these lists by the mechanism described below. Notify CSEE-LISTMASTER AT CSEE DOT UMBC DOT EDU of any problems you can't resolve.
  • Indentation shows inclusion, such as CSEE-GRAD, is defined as the union of CSEE-GRAD-CS, CSEE-GRAD-CE, and CSEE-GRAD-EE. So, if you are a graduate student in the CS program, you have been explicitly subscribed to CSEE-GRAD-CS and will by implicitly included in the lists CSEE-STUDENT and CSEE. One can not subscribe to upper level lists.
  • Lists (i.e. csee-undergrad-cs) have restictions on who is allowed to send mail through them (primarily because of their large size). Mail from unauthorized senders will be forwarded to the list administrator for approval.

Uses

  • If you want to send mail to all CSEE graduate students, address it to CSEE-GRAD AT CS DOT UMBC DOT EDU .
  • If you want to unsubscribe from a mailing list, go to the URL www.cs.umbc.edu/mailman/listinfo/<listname> where <listname> is the name of the list. Scroll down to the Subscribers section, and ...add more info here...
