Research Areas

Dr. Frank’s research focuses on natural language processing, modeling and extracting the meanings of events, and unlabeled, structured probabilistic modeling over very large corpora. He has pursued basic and applied research on a number of multi modal processing and information extraction projects; semi-supervised and unsupervised learning strategies; and the unsupervised induction of latent variable, hierarchical, probabilistic methods and applications for natural language processing
