Course Description

This course introduces the basic concepts of Big Data, including data lifecycle,Cloud Computing and related technologies. Additional topics may include tools for developing Big Data applications like Hadoop and MapReduce. The objectives of the course are met using classroom presentations, guest lecturers, and a semester-long project developed in a team setting.
