Description

This course will mainly focus on developing advanced VLSI design skills using CAD software. You will work in groups of four and implement a big design e.g. microprocessor. Also this course will help you master the CADENCE design suite. Each group will focus on learning one new tool in this course.

Most of the materail required for the course will be provided through handouts and listings on the course website.

Grading

Project ( includes design, report, presentation, class participation): 70%
CADENCE Tool Study (includes report, presentation and demo):  30%

Final letter grades will be determined as follows.

     90% <= A <= 100%
     80% <= B <   90%
     70% <= C <   80%
     60% <= D <   70%
      0% <= F <   60%
