The sole purpose of this project is to test your ability to submit
projects. You don't have to do this project - and will get no
credit for doing it. If you don't do it and later have trouble
submitting a "real" project, no mercy!
Your task is to submit a small file. If you can do it, relax.
If you can't do it, please email me
edelman@cs.umbc.edu from your
gl account.
Tell me what happened. It would be useful for you to read the instructions
for submitting a project.
Here's how to create and submit a small file.
- Choose a filename that does not exist on your gl account.
Let's say it's
foo
- Create an empty file of that name by doing
touch foo
- Submit that file by doing
submit cs202-02 Proj0 foo
You should get a friendly message stating that the file was submitted ok.
NOTE:
the only way I know that you have an account is if you sent email to me
with your account information. I will have saved your mail with that account
information, so if in the unlikely event that I screw up by mistyping your
account info, we can recover. Once again, if you don't do this project
and you can't submit Project 1 . . .
