Eighth International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management
(CIKM)

Kansas City, Missouri
November 2-6, 1999

Sponsored by ACM SIGGROUP, ACM SIGIR and ACM SIGMIS

The Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on information and knowledge management, as well as recent advances on data and knowledge bases. The purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future directions of research by soliciting and reviewing high quality, applied and theoretical research findings. An important part of the conference is the Workshops program which focuses on timely research challenges and initiatives.

News

The conference schedule is available. You can also download the Full, final program in text form; this has the conference schedule, tutorial descriptions, workshop URLs, and a registration form.

Here is the registration form for CIKM'99 (updated on 27 Aug 1999). The deadline for early registration is October 1. Below you will find information on travel and hotel arrangements.

Papers were due on May 17, 1999. You can view the Call for Papers for more information on the 1999 conference. Last year's CIKM'98 conference program is still available.

The CIKM'99 Program Committee will meet early in the summer, and we will notify authors as soon as possible. If and when your paper is accepted, you will need to consult the CIKM'99 author kit and camera-ready guidelines in order to prepare your paper(s) for publication.
