Important:
  1. Attendance is mandatory and will count toward class participation.
  2. Come prepared to the class (read the paper!) and have one or two questions ready. This counts toward class participation as well.
  3. Take a look at this document on how to read a paper (by Michael Hanson and updated by Dylan McNamee)  "Efficient reading of papers in science and technology"
Evaluation Criteria: As you prepare your presentation, think about the following.
At the end of your presentation, is your audience able to paraphrase to some degree the answers to the following questions:
  1. What is the problem discussed in the paper? 
  2. What is its significance?
  3. What is the solution presented in the paper?
  4. How effective is it in solving the problem?
  5. How does it compare to other research work?
