Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Center for Language and Speech Processing (CLSP) at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) focusing on Information Retrieval, Machine Learning and NLP. I am currently working on the Machine Translation for English Retrieval of Information in Any Language (MATERIAL) project initiated by the IARPA.


I obtained my PhD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County which is often referred to as UMBC. My advisor was Prof Tim Finin. My dissertation was Understanding the Logical and Semantic Structure of Large Documents. I was a member of the eBiquity research group at UMBC. I used to hangout with a research group at BWTech@UMBC.

 

I received Masters and Bachelor degrees in Information Technology and Computer Science respectively.
