Projects
This page will be updated during the semester.
- Project Leads
When looking for technical articles to serve as the basis for your projects,
you should look into the proceedings for the following conferences fo the last few years (2003-2006)
- ACM SIGMOD International Conference on Management of Data (SIGMOD)
- Very Large Data Bases Conference (VLDB)
- IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE)
- ACM Symposium on Principles of Database Systems (PODS)
The online DBLP
bibliography server would be quite useful (http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/).
The articles in these conferences should all be available online through the UMBC library on-campus.
Also, the references at the end of the chapters of the textbook (eg Ch. 20), are good starting points.
