I am a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Department. I did both my graduate and undergraduate work in Computer Science here at UMBC. As an undergraduate, I also took the education courses required for Maryland Teacher Certification.

In the past I have taught CMSC 106 (C Programming), CMSC 104 (Problem Solving and Computer Programming), CMSC 331 (Programming Languages), CMSC 491F (Network Information Retrieval), CMSC 201 (Computer Science I for Majors) and FYS 102A & 102D (Investigating Everyday Problems & Their Current IT Solutions).
I'm a Distinguished Member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the advisor for Alpha Sigma Kappa - Zeta Chapter, and an alumni member of Phi Theta Kappa at Essex Community College, now CCBC.

My husband and I love to travel. I've visited all of the lower 48 and Ben has visited all but three: Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota. Since we've been married, just six years, we've traveled through and thouroughly visited all of the states shown on this map as well as Quebec and the maritime provinces of Canada. It certainly is nice to have the summers off!
