Boolean logic
A logical expression with two possible values: true and false. The Oracle Information Navigator search feature includes options that, if selected, automatically use OR, AND, or NOT logic when searching for words.
category
Folders in the information library that contain other items such as books or individual documents.
content page
The HTML page that currently displays in the browser window.
document
The contents of a document can be a chapter in a book, a technical report, a bug report, etc. The document is the Universal Resource Locator (URL) page that displays in the browser window.
document source
The source of the document (such as a book) that contains the word(s) for which you searched when using the Oracle Information Navigator search feature.
document title
The document (URL page) that contains the word(s) for which you searched when using the Oracle Information Navigator search feature.
documentation toolbar
The region in the browser window with icons at the top for navigation. These icons let you access the information library home page, display a help page, and, if you are using a Java-enabled browser, activate the Oracle Information Navigator tree and search feature.
folder
Containers in which information is displayed in the Oracle Information Navigator tree. At the top level, folders display categories. Category folders can include additional folders (books, with their individual chapters) and individual documents.
home page
The opening HTML page that displays in the browser window. This is the initial page that displays when you start the information library.
information library
The body of documentation contained in your library. Documentation can include books, chapters in books, technical reports, bug reports, etc.
Oracle Information Navigator

Oracle Information Navigator search
Lets you search for words across the entire information library. You must use a Java-based browser to use the search feature.
Oracle Information Navigator tree
A Java-based applet that displays the information library hierarchically in a directory tree structure similar to the Windows NT and Windows 95 Explorer. The directory tree structure enables you to access documents (URL pages) by expanding and collapsing folders.
rank
Indicates if the search word appears many times or few times in the document. A high percentage indicates the search word(s) appears many times. A low percentage indicates the search word(s) appears few times.
