Management

2:00pm Friday December 3, 1999
Lecture Hall V, ECS
This talk will review some of the techniques being
developed by companies to control access to digital information.
While the programmers are trying hard to make reading a text or
watching movie indistinguishable from reading a book or going
to a movie theatre, the lawyers are trying hard to create new
rules to maximize profits. The talk will discuss many of the possible
solutions and provide an overview of the legal landscape.
