<h1> Overview </h1>


The research, development, and prototyping of technology to enable the
integration of manufacturing applications in a multi-company supply
chain planning and execution environment. We will research and develop
a framework where applications, human beings, and their software
agents can collaboratively resolve complex supply chain logistics
problems in minutes rather than days or weeks. We will research and
develop tools and technology for manufacturing business users to
capture and modify their supply chain designs by changing and
validating business rules. We will research and develop cost effective
technology that enables users to construct virtual situation rooms;
where geographically distributed people can collaborate with each
other to resolve supply chain problems. We will research and develop a
practical security framework for multi-enterprise transactions and
interactions. Our underlining motivation during this project is to use
through creative research as much existing technology as possible and
to develop only what does not exist in order to provide complete
solutions to the above.
