• Chapter 1: Sections 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3
• Cryptographic algorithms classification and characteristics (Lecture Notes);
  Basic details of DES, DES3, AES, Blowfish, RC4 (keysize, known weaknesses, block size)
  Section 3.7 (No need to memorize details of mode operations, but you should what each mode is used for)
• Chapter 7: Sections 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3
• Chapter 9: Section 9.1;
  Basic knowledge of how RSA algorithm works and recommended key sizes (need not memorize key generation steps)
• Chapter 10: Section 10.1 and 10.2
• Chapter 11: Section 11.1 and 11.2
