General

I am a lecturer in the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Department. I did my graduate work in Management Information Systems at Bowie State University and undergraduate work in Computer Software at the University of the State Of New York (renamed Regent's College, and then renamed Excelsior College).

I came to UMBC from private industry after nineteen years, where my title was Computer Scientist. I worked for Intercon Systems Corporation, COMCON, and ArgoSystems (I doubt any of those companies exist anymore because they got bought by a company that got bought ......!) I was involved in work in many different areas.

I had also been an adjunct associate professor at Prince George's Community College for seven years and Anne Arundel Community College for five years. I have also taught at Frederick Community College, James Mason University, and Strayer University. Courses included Pascal, C, UNIX, Programming Microcontrollers, Introduction to Computers, Unix System Administration, C++, Object Oriented Programming I and II, Web Design I, Systems Analysis and Design, Computer Programming Design, Data Communications, and Java I.

Warrant Officer Insigna I am a retired Army warrant officer with almost thirty years, my specialty was Computer Technician. (Part of my military time was as a reservist and was concurrent with my time in private industry. Otherwise, I'd be over eighty years old, which obviously I'm not.) Chief Warrant Officer 3 Insigna
